Gene Drabkin Joins FLYR as Chief Technology Officer

Gene Drabkin knows his fair share about growing a business in technology.

With more than 20 years of experience leading engineering teams, he’s worked across a broad spectrum of global technology companies, including some of the biggest names in tech.

In his most recent venture at Meta, Drabkin led teams building a platform to power all Meta business tools. These tools helped enable 260 million businesses to discover, engage, and transact with consumers across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Prior to Meta, Drabkin led engineering for Confluence. He helped transform Atlassian’s second-largest product into a true cloud-native offering to support Atlassian’s largest customers. Additionally, Drabkin held leadership positions at Groupon and co-founded a few companies of his own.

Now, Drabkin will focus on further building FLYR’s cutting-edge technology and engineering teams globally to help the travel and transportation industries achieve their highest potential. As part of the executive team, he will immediately add to the thought leadership, innovation, and creativity of the FLYR brand.

“It’s a super exciting time to join FLYR, as the company continues to innovate, grow rapidly, and push the boundaries of what’s possible within the transportation sector by using advanced and intuitive technologies,” Drabkin said. “I quickly realized the immense potential of FLYR and its differentiated approach to revenue management.”

“I really admire the work FLYR has done so far and look forward to working with an incredible team made up of some of the best and brightest talent across the globe.”
